Hi everyone, Gabi here! 🌸
Summer is officially beginning! The days are beautifully long, the sun is shining bright, and I must confess, I’m already dreaming of pool dips and late afternoons by the sea. I know many of you are already counting down the days to start your holiday with us.
But before you catch your flight or hit the road, there’s always that classic dilemma: “What on earth should I pack?”.
As your host (and someone who lives in paradise year-round!), I’ve put together a super practical checklist, focusing on what really matters so you can enjoy the beach and the pool without overpacking.
☀️ The “Sun Safe” Kit
Our Algarve sun is wonderful, but it’s powerful!
- Sunscreen (and After-Sun): Bring your favorite, preferably reef-safe to protect our beautiful ocean.
- Wide-brimmed hat & Sunglasses: Absolute essentials for reading a book by the pool on our sun loungers without squinting.
🏊♂️ Pool & Beach Essentials (Keep it light!)
- A lightweight Fouta or Beach Wrap: A friendly insider tip: at our villas, we already provide your bath and house towels. So, just bring a light sarong or a thin microfiber towel for the beach sand. It saves so much suitcase space!
- Flip-flops: The official footwear of the Algarve from June to September.
- A canvas or mesh beach bag: Avoid bulky bags; mesh ones are great because the sand shakes right out before you get back into the car or the villa.

📱 The “Small but Mighty” Details
- Waterproof phone pouch: Perfect for taking photos of the kids (or pets!) in the water without any accidents.
- Insulated water bottle: To keep your drinks ice-cold while you lie on the sand or your private sunbed.
- A Wet Bag: Ideal for packing damp swimsuits on your last day, just in case you want to squeeze in one final swim before check-out.
Gabi’s Tip: Just relax. If you forget anything, Guia and Albufeira have everything you need just a few minutes away. The most important thing to pack is a great mood and the desire to make memories.
Your villa is clean, cool, and waiting for you. Unpack your bags and lose track of time!
Best,
Gabi
